Wound Care and Lymphedema Services

We have a physical therapist that is board-certified as a Wound Care Specialist and is able to assist with assessment, treatment recommendations, dressing application as well as modification.  The therapist is trained in edema management services as well including assessment and treatment planning for maintaining reduction in edema.  

• Conservative Sharp Debridement bedside of non-viable tissue (scalpel/curette)
• negative wound therapy dressing application (VAC)
• specialty dressing application
• multi-layered short-stretch bandage application for edema reduction Upper or lower extremities
• recommendation and education re: compression garment choice, application and removal
• assessment and treatment planning/progression for woundcare
• assessment and treatment planning/progression for edema management
• patient/family education for pressure reduction, wound care/healing process and edema  management process.
